The most comfortable and quickest way to reach the wonderful island of Corfu is by Aeroplane. The imposing approach flight over the Island lands at Corfu 's capital (Kerkyra (CFU)). In the season many charter planes from all the larger airports usually fly non-stop , you can subject to availability book a "flight only " with these tour operators. (Occasionally it has been known to book a package holiday to obtain a cheap flight!)

If you take a flight to mainland Greece for example, you can fly from Athens or Thessaloniki by using low-priced scheduled Greek airlines that operate daily flights to Corfu .

For visitors who like to use their own transportation a small sea voyage by Ferry is recommended , they sail from the Italian ferry ports of Venice , Ancona , Bari and Brindisi operating daily throughout the whole year. (Car hire is available on the Island from many operators).

Corfu Airport (CFU) in the capital Kerkyra is reached directly by most foreign airlines during the season only. Greek national airlines operate scheduled flights throughout the whole year.
