Beach of KalamakiBeach of KalamakiBeach of Kalamaki

Kalamaki, on the northern coast of Corfu, is nestled in the shadows of Corfu's highest mountain, Pantokrator and over looks the distant rugged mountains of Albania . This position leads to the fabulous big sandy beach offering warm shallow waters ideal for family bathing and water games for all ages.

The beach is divided by a long jetty for visiting pleasure boats and also provides a base for amateur anglers.

The sea has shallow waters, where, during the ebb tide sandy islands magically appear, excellent for sand castle building. Further offshore, in the deeper waters, are wonderful meadows of sea grass, ideal for snorkelling and collecting fresh mussels for supper. One finds the bigger mussels in about 5m depth of water.

The results of a two week vacation lie on the shelf of the beach bar.
